Synopsis

The history of Qiyao, a simple woman whose life will accelerate the day when it will become Miss Shanghai. Betrayed by the men, this very proud woman will survive her loves opposed while being the privileged witness of the radical changes which its city will know, its refuge also: the city of Shanghai, from which it will attend the curious change, of end of the year 40 with beginning of the year 80.
