Evangelic alliance of Canada

The evangelic Alliance of Canada (AÉC) (English: Evangelical Fellowship off Canada ) is an national association gathering more than 140 evangelic denominations , organizations of ministries, institutions of education and 1000 congregations of local churches to the Canada. All the affiliated groups (except for the catholic Church Anglican of Canada) car-are identified like belonging evangelic to the movement.

Evangelic Alliance was founded in 1964 in order to facilitate the co-operative in political arenas and social participation in Canada. The organization seeks to improve information of the public on questions which worry the evangelic community, and acts as a group of lobbying to influence the legislative activities concerning with the questions such as the Liberté of religion, the definition of the Mariage, the infantile pornography, and the rights to the Avortement and right of the Fetus. In 1982, they asked, successfully, so that “  the supremacy of God   ” is recognized in the Préambule to the Canadian Charter of the rights and freedoms.

The AÉC publishes the review Faith Today , the principal evangelic publication in Canada.
