Eva Joly

Eva Joly , of her name of young girl Gro Eva Farseth , is a Magistrat E Frenchwoman of Norwegian origin, in retirement born the December 5th 1943 with Oslo (Norway). It is famous to have informed of the files like the Affaire Elf.

Biography

Maternal side, its ancestors were producers of Framboise S. Its family paternal was a line of farmers of mountain (cf Jolly, 2003).
  • Gro Farseth passes part of its childhood in the working district of Grünerløkka (laundries, bakeries, flour-millings, factories of veils for boats…), and into frequent the schools where is learned the humble, organized and nourished life respect of others, essential in the septentrional countries.
  • At 18 years, it leaves Norway before exerting various trades: girl with the Even , secretary at Eddie Barclay, dress designer.
  • It becomes then legal adviser of the Psychiatric hospital of Étampes then Marie with Pascal, the oldest son (cousin of Sylvie Jolly) of the family which accommodated it with the par, in spite of the opposition of her future parents-in-law.
  • At 38 years, it makes its entry in the magistrature.
  • In 1981, it is named substitute Public prosecutor with Orleans.
  • In 1989, it is detached at the Inter-ministerial committee of industrial rebuildings (CIRI), organization attached to the Ministry for finances, which supports the companies in difficulty in the disaster areas, from which it will become the first assistant general secretary not to be left ENA.

Elf business

  • Named in 1990 Examining magistrate with the financial pole with the Law courts of Paris, it starts to inform of the known businesses, like that of Bernard Tapie, then inherits the Bidermann file, which will lead via Elf-Gabon to the Affaire Elf, that it informs with Laurence Vichnievsky.

Return in Norway

In 2002, it put of availability of the magistrature to become adviser of the Norwegian government in the fight against the Corruption and the international financial delinquency, deploring with the passage kindness in France with the financial embezzlements. She explains her departure in Norway like a true exile to put itself at the shelter: " I left France. I left because I wanted to leave with nobody the means and time to be avenged. Its name was chosen by promotion 2007 of the national school of the magistrature. Always denouncing the tender of the magistrature to the political power, she criticized the project of Nicolas Sarkozy of dépénaliser the right of the businesses.
