Eva Jiřičná

Eva Jiřičná (1939 -) is a Czech architect active with the the United Kingdom, primarily known for its interior London and New Yorkeans which mix steel and glass in a very creative way.

Biography

Eva Jiřičná is born with Zlín in Czechoslovakia, on March 3rd, 1939. She studies architecture with the technical Université of Prague then to the Académie of the Art schools of Prague in the workshop of Jaroslav Fragner. Starting from 1967, it works for the ÚBOK with Prague. In 1968, it leaves for London to make a training course and, following the Printemps of Prague and to the invasion of the country by the Soviet troops, does not return to the country.

It joined then the workshop of Louis de Soisson, in which it takes part in the construction project of the Marina of Brighton. She also collaborates with Richard Rogers in particular for the seat of the Lloyd' S off London.

She has her own workshop of architecture in Prague and London. Since 1996, it is responsible for the pulpit of architecture to the school of the applied arts of Prague.
