Eva Marie Cassidy (February 2nd 1963, Oxon Hill - November 2nd 1996, Bowie) is a American Chanteuse described by the Journal English The Guardian like “one of greatest voices of its generation” after the exit of its first album, Live At Blues Alley .
Although having a voice being able to draw from various musical currents (Jazz, Blues, folk, Gospel and pop), it did not have time to bore out of its native area, dying of a Cancer during the year 1996.
However, its recordings were produced on a purely posthumous basis and more than four million copies were past between 1996 and 2001. Its album named Songbird was also number 1 in England.
