Eva is a Franco-Italian film carried out by Joseph Losey and left in 1962.
Synopsis
Tyvian Jones is of passage to Venice, at the time of the cinematographic Festival. Its book has just been carried with the screen. This hard being and without scruples enjoys a usurped reputation: it published under its name the literary work of his brother who has just died. It meets Eva, a Frenchwoman who decided to be the prototype of the modern courtesan. This seductresses avoids liking and she does not want that it is liked.
Fascinated by Eva, Tyvian continues it to Rome and accepts all humiliations. The false writer tries to release himself from a love become obsessional. He marries a young and beautiful woman, Francesca, which understands very early that her husband is always madly in love with Eva. In prey with a violent crisis of despair, Francesca commits suicide. Tyvian will not leave any more Venice. It continues Eva inlassablement…
