Eutychius , named in Arabic Saīd ibn Barīq , Patriarch of Alexandria in Egypt, born in 876 with Fostât (Old man-Cairo), died in 940.

It became in 933 patriarch melchite of Alexandria. It was poured, non-seulement in theology, but also in medicine and the history, and it wrote on these various sciences.

There is of him, inter alia writings, a universal Arabic history, whom it entitled Rangée of invaluable stones and which is known under the name of annals. These annals, which go until in 937, were translated into Latin by Edward Pocock, Oxford, 1658, 2 volumes in-8.
