Eutrope Lambert

Eutrope Lambert is a poet and French journalist born with Jarnac in 1842 and died in Jarnac the June 2nd 1910.

Biography

Born in 1842 with Jarnac, its first poetries Sheets of pink (1864), the Stages of the heart (1886), are filled of extreme passion, burning and young life.

Applauded by Victor Hugo, accommodated well by criticism, they deserved the praises of Jules Janin, one of the most influential judges of then.

It Marie in 1886; it is interfered then with the municipal life Jarnac and occupies of the functions in the majority of the local companies.

It then founds the Echo of Jarnac where all the life of the city is told under its feather, in a humorous way; one also finds in this newspaper his signed chronicles Eubert Maleport like his long study on his friend Burgaud of Marets.

Saddened by the death of his Marie daughter and having to undergo troubles of health, he dies abruptly of an embolism the June 2nd 1910.
