Eurovision contest of the song 1988

Results finally, on April 30th, 1988

  • Disqualification: Cyprus causes a small scandal when it is learned that its title was already published. The consequences are the disqualification or, according to other sources, the voluntary desistance from the country. The selected candidate was Yiannis Demetriou (Γιάννης Δημητρίου) with the song " Thimame (Θυμάμαι) " , writing and composed by John Vickers and Aristos Moskovakis.
