Some infos

  • For the presentation, Télé Luxembourg calls upon Helga Guitton, a stimulating high-speed motorboat of Radio Luxembourg in German language. She will be congratulated for her professionalism. She presents the event without the shade of an accent or a lapse. The interval will be ensured by the clown Charlie Rivel (4/23/1896 - 7/26/1983).

  • a first in the orchestra: Monica Dominique, of Sweden, is the first woman to direct the orchestra of the Eurovision. A few minutes after her performance, a second woman takes the reindeers: Nurit Hirsh of Israel.

  • the Turkey retransmet for the first time the Contest.

  • the rule imposing the interpretation of the song in one of its national languages is abandoned of 1973. The Finland, Norway, Sweden will sing in English, while the Dutch-speaking Belgium will do it in one mixes several languages.
