Eurosolar

EUROSOLAR is a European association of public utility for renewable energies.

The objective of EUROSOLAR is the generalization of the use of solar energy and energy of alive (Bioénergie), the development of technologies associated and the political support with the installation of renewable energies.

EUROSOLAR was founded in 1988 on the initiative of politicians of the German social democrat party (SPD), of which Hermann Scheer which is the president today.

EUROSOLAR organizes many conferences, for example:

  • European Conference: “Solar energy in architecture and town planning”
  • World forum for renewable energies
  • Conference biomass: “The agriculture like energy source and of raw materials”

In parallel, EUROSOLAR continues a work of lobbying near the national parliaments in Europe like on the level of the European Union. In 2001, EUROSOLAR initiated the creation of an worldwide organization, the World council for Renewable energies (World Council for Renewable Energy).

Since 1994, EUROSOLAR annually distributes a European price of solar energy for particularly promising projects in the field of renewable energies. In addition, of national competitions take place also in Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Denmark, Spain and Luxembourg. The prices relate to the following fields then:

  • Cities and communities or engineering services of the city
  • Industrial companies, commercial or agricultural
  • Local association or regional of support for renewable energies
  • solar Construction
  • Journalist, author or media for their work on renewable energies
  • Transport systems with renewable energy
  • Teaching and formation
  • Special price for a particular personal engagement
