In the Greek Mythology, Eurus or Euros (in Greek old Εὖρος / Eũros ) is the personification of the East wind (or more precisely that of South-east, or of the East-south-east), one of the four winds directional. It corresponds to Vulturnus at the Roman .

He is the son of Astraéos and Éos (Dawn), and the brother of Apéliote, Borée, Calcias, Notos, Lips, Zéphyr and Sciron.

He is associated with the Automne and his Tempête S of rain.

It is said that its residence is located close to the Palate of Hélios.

Iconography

It is represented by a bearded man, vêtu of a heavy coat and with the wings red fire.
