Eurorégion
A Eurorégion is a structure of transnational co-operation between two or several territories different State S European.
Generally, Eurorégions do not correspond at governmental institutions or regional, do not have political power and their competences are limited to those structures the component. They are intended to promote the transnational shared interests.
Criteria for the constitution of Eurorégion
The ARFE (Association of the European Border regions) gathers Eurorégions and gives the following criteria for the identification of the eurorégions:
- an association of territorial collectivities on a side or other of a national border;
- an equipped transborder association dun permanent secretariat, engineering teams and administrative and of a clean budget;
- an organization of Private law, based on Association S with not-lucrative goal or foundation S on a side or other of the border in agreement with the national jurisdictions into force.
- an organization of Public law, based on agreements interetatic, which occupies, among others, participation of the territorial collectivities.
Eurorégions vary enormously in their form and their nature. It is thus impossible to associate them with a precise legal framework.
