European system of accountancy
The European system of national accounting is a system of accountancy which gets a countable framework common to the countries of the European Union, and allows a thorough harmonization their national accountings.
This new plan was adopted in 1995 (SEC 95). It very largely reproduces a system prepared under the aegis of UNO, of which all the Member States must be inspired.
The adoption of SEC 95 is the occasion of the installation of a new base of accounts, i.e. of a revision of the whole of the evaluations. At the same time, a nomenclature of activities and products renovated were introduced. The principal modification relates to the services, which are described in a greater detail.
The first accounts according to the new base are available since April 1999. Work is in hand to specify the bases of account.
