In 2005, Chicago Climate Exchange lance European Climate Exchange, important actor in the exchanges inside the market of the European Union ( European Union Emissions Trading Design ). The value of the European market is considered at 285 billion dollars for the period finishing in 2012, according to Environmantal Finance magazine .
