European Committee for Standardization in electronics and electrical engineering
CENELEC is the European Committee for Standardization in electronics and electrical engineering . It prepares, amongst other things, the standards contiguous to the electricity, the electronic and other technologies related to the two preceding ones.
At the time of their respective general meetings of June 2007 to Cyprus, CENELEC and CEN decided on a bringing together in order to “reinforce the values and the principles of European standardization, they wish to constitute a system of standardization European opened, flexible, dynamic and able to answer the stakes of emergent technologies in a context of strong universalization. ”. The agreement is concretized for the moment by the creation of an work group as well as possible to use the resources to produce standards, a committee which will examine the external stakes and a promotional campaign.
