Europa Europa ( Hitlerjunge Solomon ) is a German film carried out by Agnieszka Holland in 1990.
Based on the autobiography of Solomon Perel, the film was nominated for the Oscar of the best scenario adapted in 1991.
1938, Solomon, a Jewish young person , lives with its family in Germany. The day before its Bar mitzvah, the Nuit of crystal bursts. His/her sister is killed. The family then decides to flee in Poland, but, a few months later, this one is invaded.
The parents of Solomon then send it to the east, in Russia. It spends two years in a communist orphanage where it yields with the propaganda of the mode. Very quickly, the Germans attack Russia and destroy the orphanage. All are done prisoners, but Solomon, speaking perfectly German, is made pass for a young prisoner of the Communists.
Extremely of its talents of translator (he speaks Polish and Russian) Solomon is enlisted in the regiment which found it. It is then sent to Berlin in the Jeunesses hitlériennes. Until the end of the war, it will hide with the center even of the young elite Nazi, dissimulating her Judaism at every moment.
