Eurojust
Instituted by a Council Decision of February 28th 2002, Eurojust is the European body charged to reinforce the Coopération Judiciaire between the Member States by the adoption, at the European level, of structural measures intended to promote an optimal coordination of the actions of Enquête and continuations overflowing the framework of only one national territory, in the full respect of the Liberté S and the Basic rights.
It continues the following main objectives:

to promote and improve the coordination of the action taken by the competent authorities of the Member States concerning Investigation S and legal actions in the Member States;

to improve the co-operation between the competent authorities of the Member States, in particular by facilitating the implementation of the international judicial cooperation and the execution of the requests for Extradition;

to support, in addition, competent authorities of the Member States to reinforce the effectiveness of their Investigation S and their continuations.
Eurojust belongs to the Third pillar of the European Union.
