Its military equivalent is EC. 725. It is the last born of the family of the Super Puma S,

Its principal use in the civil sector is the offshore oil rig exploitation on behalf of the tankers (raises of the personnel on oil platform and missions SAR). Some apparatuses are also used for the transport of the governmental personalities (Japan, Algérie, Morocco…)

It is characterized compared to the superone or AS332L2 by a rotor five blades, a greater autonomy and a higher payload as well as a new avionics.

It is equipped with two turbomotors MAKILA 2A of Turbomeca of a maximum capacity in emergency mode of 1801KW each one with completely electronic regulation fadec, which is a first in the super-puma family.
