Eureka is a American Televised series created by Andrew Cosby and Jaime Paglia, diffused since the July 18th 2006 on Sci-Fi Chanel. In France, the series is diffused on Série Club since the October 24th 2007 and with the Quebec on Ztélé.

Synopsis

The Second world war as well as the bombardments on Hiroshima and Nagasaki had an negative impact towards science and technology. At this point in time, with the assistance of Albert Einstein, the president Harry Truman ordered the creation of a complex signal-secrecy, of which the ultimate goal would be to develop various technologies and armaments.

The purpose of the project Eureka is born then, and is to join together the largest thinking heads, scientific and intellectual geniuses of the the United States, accompanied by their family, in a small town created to measure. So they could live there peacefully, while continuing their research. This small town hidden at the fine bottoms of the United States, is indexed on no chart, but certain rumors would locate it all the same on the west coast of the country.

It is in this incredible city that the majority of the revolutionary technologies revealed with the public these fifty last years were invented and developed. But, inevitably, a complex as important as Eureka draws the attentions of bad people and covetousness. And if somebody put the hand on the secrecies whom contains Eureka , which knows what it could occur well…?

It is on Jack Casing that the series is fixed. This last, whereas it brings back his daughter at his place, has an accident. Thus he discovers Eureka , and that he makes the discovery of his eccentric inhabitants. But, beyond the esthetic aspect, Eureka mask much more than of the secrecies…

The first episode of the season beat the records of audience (4 million televiewers) of the American chain Sci-Fi Chanel.

The American chain Sci-Fi Chanel announced that it had ordered a third season of Eureka (9/27/07) which will certainly be diffused in the month of July 2008.

In Great Britain, the series is diffused on the English channel Sky One as on SciFi the U.K. under the title Town Called Eureka has.
