Eupolis
Eupolis (-446, Athens - -411) is a comic Poète Greek, rival of Aristophane.
It belonged to the old comedy. It attracted itself annoying adventures by the boldness of its criticisms. One knows remainder only very little of thing about via this poet. One finds some fragments of Eupolis in Stobée, Athénée, Pollux, etc They were collected by Runkel, Leipzig, 1829, in the Poetes comici of Meinecke, 1839.
