Euphemy of Rügen

Euphémie de Rügen (° towards 1289, † 1321) is queen of Norway by its marriage with Håkon V of Norway in 1299.

It is the girl of the prince Wisław II of Rügen and Agnes of Brunswick - Lunebourg.

Euphemy is the mother of Ingeborg Hakonsdatter, born in 1301.

Euphemy translates into old man Swedish and worms three courtly romance French: Flora and Blanchefleur, Yvain or the Knight with the lion and Frederic of Normandy. This collection is known under the name of Eufemiavisor ( songs of Euphémie ).

Euphemy is buried in the church mariale Oslo.
