Eugenie Sokolnicka
Eugenie Sokolnicka (1884-1934) founded the psychoanalytical Société of Paris (SPP).
Biography
Eugenie Sokolnicka is born with Warsaw in 1884. It joined Paris at its 20 years, where it will make a license in letter with the Sorbonne and will follow also the courses of Pierre Janet, rival of Sigmund Freud.In 1911, she discovers the dynamic Psychiatrie; she will be the pupil of Carl Gustav Jung. But in 1913 it chooses, for its psychoanalytical Cure, Sigmund Freud and settles with Munich.
In 1918, it turns over in Poland, eager to found the analytical practice there. Then, it joined Budapest and starts a new analysis, this time with Sándor Ferenczi. In 1921, it joined Paris again, joining the New French Review .
Sokolnicka was pionnière of the Psychanalyse of the children. They was found however isolated from SPP, and gave each other death in 1934. Here what Edouard Pichon (one of its analyzing) will say in his homage; " With Mrs Sokolnicka arrives to us a Psychologue having drawn its psychoanalytical knowledge at the best sources, and a technician able to apply indeed the method to concrete cases. But Mrs Sokolnicka cannot make contact with the medical world immediately. Its relations (Paul Le Bourget) especially involved it towards the literary group of the Nouvelle French Review. Jacques Rivière in particular remained his friend until she died; the deformed image that André Gide gave of it " Mrs. Sophronicka" in its novel " Forgery monnayeurs" is the last alluvium of its activity of then . "
It has äussi be the analyst of Blanche Reverchon, and also of Rene Laforgue who then went particularly désobligeant to his regard. It was founding member of the Psychoanalytical Société of Paris
