Eugene Vallin
Eugene Vallin was born with Herbéviller in 1856 and died in Nancy in 1922. It is a Architecte and cabinet-maker French.
He studied with the École of the Art schools of Nancy. He made his training in the joinery of his uncle whom he took again in 1881.
Its first achievements are furniture of church but he quickly becomes a creator and artist of the Art nouveau under the influence of Galle for which he carries out the door of his new workshops. But it is in the piece of furniture that it becomes famous for its production with the order: he carries out dining rooms thus, living rooms for the notable ones of Nancy: Eugene J.B. Corbin, Masson, Bergeret, Kronberg…
In 1895, built a new workshop and its house Lobau boulevard with Nancy, which becomes the first building Art nouveau of the city with the assistance of Georges Biet. In return, it helps it for its villa with 22, rue de la Commanderie.
It becomes, in 1901, vice-president of the management committee of the Alliance which becomes the École of Nancy.
It realizes, in 1909, the house which shelters the École of Nancy to the International exhibition of the East of France which takes place in Nancy.
In architecture, it was one of the pioneers of steel concrete construction, method which it used for the construction of the house of the École of Nancy to the International exhibition of the East of France.
