Eugene Rognard

Eugene Rognard is an ecclesiastic born on September 8th 1878 with Annecy (Haute-Savoie) and deceased with the Tampon, island of the Meeting, on July 5th 1945.

Rognard, priest of the Plug of 1907 to 1945, was made famous for its opposition to the Kerveguen and especially for its social works, like the summer camp of the Plaine of the Kaffirs.

It creates the first case of Agricultural credit and assembles a trade union of small and average growers to fight against the domination of the big landowners.
