Eugene Morel is a Bibliothécaire French, born with Paris the June 21st 1869, died with Meudon the March 23rd 1934, having strongly influenced on the evolution of the Bibliothèque S Frenchwomen at the 20th century.
After studies of right (1886 - 1889), Eugene Morel gives up the lawyer trade and between the National library in 1892. In parallel, it carries out a career of writer and publishes several novels, articles and plays. In 1906, it takes part in the foundation of the Association of the French librarians , of which it will be elected president in 1918. In 1910, it publishes the public Bookstore , work in which it will precede the development of the public libraries at the XXe century. In 1911, it introduces in France the Decimal system of Dewey to the library of Levallois-Perret.
