Eugene Martin
Eugene Martin (born the March 24th 1915 with Suresnes - deceased the October 12th 2006 with Aytré) was a French racing driver.
Biography
Engineer of formation, Eugene Martin carries out his beginnings in automobile sport the shortly after the war, in 1946, on a BMW 328 of tourism. With its wheel, it gains several national tests such as the " Cut Robert Mazaud" in 1946 at the Bois de Boulogne, the Circuit of the Ramparts in 1947 in Angouleme, or Cut of Lyon, always in 1947.It takes part in 1950 in the inaugural test of the championship of the world of Formule 1, at the wheel of Talbot-Lago official. But a serious accident during its second appearance in championship of the world (with the GP of Switzerland) stops its career brutally. It finds the competition as from 1952, but a new serious accident (with the Grand Prix of Pau 1954) puts a final term at its career.
