Eudynamys scolopaceus

The cuckoo koel ( Eudynamys scolopaceus ) is a bird of the family of the Cuculidés called according to its song. One finds it in the south of the Asia, in China and Australia.

The word " koel" mean " rossignol" in India because of the mélodieux song of the Indian cuckoo. He is regarded as the bird of the rain or the storm in the east of the Australia where the tradition wants that he sings right before the rain.
