Eudes Ier , known as Borrel (= the russet-red one), born in 1058, died in 1102, duke ''' of Burgundy ''' of 1079 with 1102, wire of Henri of Burgundy and Sybille of Barcelona.
He helped the king Philippe Ier de France in his fight against Hugues Ier of Puiset in 1078. In 1087, it left to fight the Moors in Spain and took part in the catch of Tolède. Violent one and brutal the chroniclers of his time describe it as a brigand who held to ransom those which crossed its states. It does not seem to be committed in the First crusade, but goes a few years later in Holy Land. He dies in Tarse in Cilicie in 1102.
He had married in 1080 Sibyl (1065 † ap.1103), girl of Guillaume, Count Palatine of Burgundy and had had:
