Etting
Etting is a common French, located in the department of the the Moselle and the basin of life of the Moselle-is.
Geography
The village is located in an adjacent small valley at the Ruisseau of Achen, in country discovered, in the middle of the Verger S.
History
Mentioned in 1381 under its current form, the name of the village comes from a Germanic man Edo or Etto , with the suffix - ing . Branch of the Parish of Achen, it followed from there the destinies until the beginning of the 19th century, passing from the archpriest of Hornbach to that of Rohrbach. A church, dedicated to the Nativity of the Virgin , is built in 1805 only, following a request of the inhabitants, taking into account the distance of the church-mother of Achen. The turn-bell-tower in frontage is added in 1870.
Saved by the Second world war, the village preserved some firm S interesting and of many crosses of way. Depending on the Canton of Rohrbach-lès-Bitche since 1790, the common was additional of Achen between 1811 and 1833.

Demography
The population increased considerably, passing from 481 inhabitants in 1817, to 644 in 1852 and 811 in 1982, undoubtedly because of the proximity of the towns of Sarralbe and Sarreguemines.
Places and monuments
- In the middle of the village, a firm presents original provisions, undoubtedly due to a constraint of compartmental. Constuite in 1731 for the husbands Nicolas Freyermuth and Anna Müller, it is made up of two buildings séprés by a small court: the home on the left and exploitation on the right, open out of pinion. The door pedestrian, which carries the date, at the bottom of the court, is covered by a lintel whose tympanum, carrying the Monogram of the Christ, is delimited by a strong mouluration with projections: it is one of témoignanges ultimate of this type of carries, whose first examples go back to the end of the 17th century.
- Set up in 1817 with the crossroads of the roads of Kalhausen and Bellevue, a monumental cross is to be brought to the cross present street closer to the orchards, in the common neighbor of Rahling. Traditional in its rise and the distribution of its decoration (on the Fût are reproduced Sainte Beard, the Vierge and two Saint S franciscains, perhaps holy François and holy Antoine), its characteristic lies in the decoration of Perle S and Piastre S joined together by festoons, which mark separation between the barrel and the cross.
- Saved by the renewal of the monuments during the last decades, two tombs of neo-classic inspiration , one of the middle of the 19th century, the other dated 1887, comprise a rich person religious iconography naively carved in mezzo-relievo in the sandstone, representing the owners of late and their close relations. On the tomb of the Dehlinger family are reproduced holy Pierre, Sainte Catherine and the Vierge, while on that of Jean-Nicolas Freiermuth, they are holy holy Nicolas, Francoise and Sainte Beard. The pediments carry the Triangle trinitaire, while the base of the cross deadening falls to it Freiermuth shelters in a niche framed by unr drapery the Christ died, posed on a shroud.
