Etrian Odyssey

Etrian Odyssey (Japanese original title: 世界樹の迷宮) is a Video game of role left in 2007 on Nintendo DS. Developed and published by Atlus, the play was conceived by Kazuya Niinou (has which has it owes Trauma Center: Under the Knife).

Synopsis

In one moyenageuse time, the ground opens leaving the possibility of exploring a forest souteraine being spread out over several stages: the " labyrinth of Yggdrasil". Guilds then set up themselves to explore that.

The play starts when you create your own guild.

Gameplay

The player directs a team of characters of the various types, which visits a labyrinth in subjective sight in an environment in 3D. One of the innovations of the play resides in the use which is made touchscreen: it is a question for the player of drawing on the lower screen the chart of the places than he crosses.

On the level of the engagements, the play is traditional: They start with interval regular, utilizing enemies more and more extremely progressively of the stages of the dongeon. The team is composed of 5 characters being able to belong to one of the following classes (US): Landknecht, Survivalist, Protector, Medic, Alchimist, Dark Hunter, Troubadour, Ronin and Hexer; each one having of course clean competences.

It should be noted that a system of searches exists but that it is often satisfied to ask to bring back items of the dongeon.

This play is rather difficult and will not be appropriate for all: it is intended to the fan of the kind or for those which appreciate RPG " Old School".
