The movement Etnocacerista is a ultra-nationalist group and indigenist of the Peru, directed by the military ex-commander Antauro Humala.

It draws its historical inspiration from the culture of the Empire INCA, while its political ambitions are the reconquest of the Peruvian capacity, the fight against Chile, the installation of mode of a nationalist type and the Nationalization of industries, as well as the legalization of the culture of the Coca. Etnocacerista is a group mainly made up former servicemen - bachelors or deserters. Its name refers to the colonel Andrés Cáceres, president of Peru in 1894 and 1895.

Armed actions

In 2000, Humala and its brother, also military, try a Coup d'etat against the president Alberto Fujimori. They are arrested and imprisoned, then pardoned little time afterwards. January 1st 2005, an armed commando takes by storm a police station of the department of Apurímac, stronghold of the movement, after having announced it at the news agency Reuters.
