Etienne III Bethlen

Etienne III Bethlen prince of Transylvania in 1630

Brother of Gabriel II Bethlen born in 1584 it tries to assert himself as prince de Transylvanie of the September 28th on the November 26th 1630 but it must give up because of hostility of Catherine de Brandebourg the widow of her brother who supports his competitor Georges Ier Rákóczy. He dies the July 10th 1648.

Of his first wife Krisztina Csaky de Mihaly it leaves several children of which:

• Druzsiana marries François Ier Rhedey prince de Transylvanie.
