Etienne Heudelet de Bierre , born with Dijon the November 12th 1770, military French.

Lieutenant with the 3rd battalion of the volunteers of the Coast-with Or in 1792, assistant of the adjudant-generals the same year, assistance-of-camp of the general of cavalry Dubois, on September 1st 1793, and a few months after assistance-of-camp of the general Michaud, commander-in-chief of the Armed with the Rhine. He was adjudant-general chief of brigade, the December 30th 1794, after being himself distinguished as much by his talents as by his courage with the armies from the the Rhine and the the Moselle.

In 1795, he was chief of staff of the general Gouvion-Saint-Cyr with the Armée with Mainz. In 1796, it ordered the avant-garde of the general Delmas, ordered the avant-garde with the Passage of the Rhine under Moreau. It obtained on this occasion the congratulations of this last and the government.

Promoted with the Brigadier general rank of , the February 5th 1799, it was used initially with the army as observation, was then in charge of a secret mission by Bernadotte, passed to the Armée with the Danube and ruined, with the head of the 5th division which it ordered by interim, the passage of the Aar tried by the Prince Charles.

With Hohenlinden, it belonged to division Ney. In 1803, it ordered the Département of the Paddle in the same year; it was with the head of the avant-garde of Davout and was announced by the passage of the Ems to Steyer, and by the Combat of Marienzell, the November 8th 1805, where it beat completely the division of the Austrian general Merfelt, strong out of 10 battalions, killed 1.500 men to him, took 4.000 of them, with 10 guns, 6 flags and more than one hundred cars of crews.

With Austerlitz, it was distinguished again and was named Major general (December 24th 1805) Charged with the 2° division of the 7th body in May 1806, it was shown in a brilliant way with Iéna and Eylau, where a ball crossed the body to him.

In 1808, it ordered the 3rd division of the 8th body of the Armée with Spain, from where it passed to the Armée with Portugal in 1809, and rendered important services in these two campaigns. Returned in France in 1811 due to health, it formed or inspected in 1812 various bodies which went in Russia. The May 12th, one entrusted the 2nd division of reserve to him to protect the country since the the Scheldt until the Baltique.

Admitted with the retirement on May 30th, 1848. Deceased on April 20th, 1857 in Paris.

Replaced within the framework of reserve on January 1st, 1853.

Knight of Saint-Louis in 1814, Even of France in 1832, the count Heudelet de Bierre was named Grand Cross of the Légion of honor the February 18th 1836.
