Ethical, political and scientific Collegium international
The ethical, scientific and political Collegium international is an association based in France which was founded in 2002 by Milan Kucan, president of the Slovenia, Michel Rocard, former French Prime Minister, copresidents, Stephan Hessel, vice-president, and Sacha Goldman, secretary-general.
It gathers women and statesmen, philosophers, scientists of the five continents.
Origin
International Collegium wishes to find answers intelligent and suitable until the people of the world vis-a-vis the new challenges of our time wait. A call for établissment of Collegium was returned public in February 2002 in New York and its members were officially introduced the April 2nd 2003 to Brussels in front of the European Parliament.
The members of Collegium and the associated members, the signatories of the Call, are scientists, philosophers and old or current head of state and government.
Composition
Coprésidé by Michel Rocard, former Prime Minister of France, and Milan Kucan, which at the time of the foundation of Collegium was President of the Republic of Slovenia, the members of the group includes: former Presidents Fernando Henrique Cardoso of Brazil and Alpha Oumar Konaré of Mali; Ruth Dreifuss, former Federal adviser of Switzerland; the philosophers Edgar Morin, Jürgen Habermas and Jean-Pierre Dupuy; the political analyst Benjamin Barber; the international law professor Mireille Delmas-Marty; former President d' Irlande and High commissioner for the Human rights with UNO Mary Robinson; the economists prizes winner of the Nobel Prize Joseph Stiglitz and Amartya SEN, the former ambassador of France with UNO Stephan Hessel, which was also present at the creation of the United Nations, the former ambassador of the USA William vanden Heuvel. The other members of international Collegium are, amongst other things Henri Atlan, Jacques Robin, Rene Passet, Wolfgang Sachs and Ahmedou Ould-Abdallah.Its General secretary is Sacha Goldman, the film producer and journalist.

September 2004: Open letter with the Candidates of the Presidential Election of the United States in 2004, President George W. Bush and the Senator John Kerry, published in The Nation, re-examined weekly American.
- the October 24th 2005, at the time of the 60e birthday of the the United Nations, ethical, scientific and political Collegium international presented a text called " Universal declaration of Interdependance" with the general secretary of the United Nations, Kofi Annan, and with the president of the general meeting of the United Nations, Jan Eliasson.
