Ethane

The ethane is a Hydrocarbure of the family of the Alcane S. It has 2 Atome S of Carbone (C) and 6 atoms of Hydrogène (H). It is consequently about the lightest alkane having isomerisms of conformation.

Its Boiling point is of -88,6°C and its Melting point is of -182.76°C. The Densité of liquid ethane is of 0,546 with -88.6°C.

Its Solubility in the Water and the alcohol is better than that of the Méthane since, with 20°C, this one is of 4,7 cm3 for 100 cm3 of Eau and of 150 cm3 for 100 cm3 of alcohol.

It is a Gaz combustible, colorless and odorless that one can find in the Natural gas and also in the refining of the Pétrole.
