Eternal life in the Bible
The Bible makes 44 times reference to the eternal life. Once in the
Old Testament (Daniel 12:2) and 43 times in the
New Testament. The author who makes of it more mention is the apostle Jean (17 mentions in its
Gospel, 6 in its first epistle).
One of these references is a definition stated by Jesus of the eternal life: “But, the eternal life, it is that they know you, you, only true God, and that which you sent, Jesus-Christ” (Jn 17:3).
