Synopsis
Joel Barrish (Jim Carrey) and Clementine Kruczynski (Kate Winslet) see nothing any more but the bad sides of their tumultuous history of love, so much so that this one made erase his memory any trace of this relation. Broken down, Joel contacts the inventor of the process Lacuna, Dr. Mierzwiak, so that it also extirpates his memory all that attached it to Clementine. Two technicians, Stan and Patrick, settle in his residence and put at work, in the presence of the secretary, Mary. The memories start to ravel in the head of Joel, most recent with oldest, and fly away one by one, forever. But by going up the wire of time, Joel redécouvre what he liked since always out of Clementine - the inalterable magic of a love of which nothing in the world should deprive it. Fighting of all its forces to preserve this treasure, it then engages a battle of the last chance against Lacuna…
