The Club Baloncesto Estudiantes , more known in France under the name of Estudiantes Madrid , is a Spanish club of Basket-ball. He plays in Liga ACB, that is to say more the level of the Spanish championship.

History

  • Founded in 1948 by a group of students of the educational center called Instituto Ramiro de Maeztu , the club goes up very quickly in the 3rd division provinciel and takes then the name of Estudiantes .
  • A long time in the shade of the Real Madrid, the other club of the Spanish capital, Estudiantes must wait the years 1990 to be made a name in the European landscape. That passes first of all by a Final Furnace of the Euroligue in 1992, then by a finale lost in Coupe Korac in 1999.
