Esther Ferrer is a Spanish artist of Basque origin born in 1937 with Saint-Sebastien.
She is regarded as one of the major Spanish artists of her generation. (Daniel Charles)

Esther Ferrer also completes a work of plastician: objects, worked photographs, tables based on the series of the prime numbers and the installations. But they are especially its work in art performance which make known it.
In 1966, it joint the group of art performance and modern music “Zaj” which is illustrated by its radical and conceptual performances. Those are presented in Spain in concert halls intended for the classical music and this, in spite of the fascistic aegis of the pro-Franco mode. The Zaj group is dissolu in 1996.
In 1999, Esther Ferrer represents Spain with the Biennale de Venise.
