Esther Bick is a Psychanalyste of origin Polish born in 1901 and died in 1981 with London.

It had to leave its native Poland to go to Vienna to be formed in medicine. It is interested early in the observation of nourisssons. It made an analysis with Michael Balint, then another with Melanie Klein. She worked with John Bowlby, then developed her own technique of psychoanalytical observation of the baby. In France, it is Didier Houzel of Caen which teaches this technique.
