Estaubé
The valley of Estaubé is a Pyrenean valley ranging between the valleys of Héas and Gavarnie in the south of Gèdre, in Lavedan in the Hautes-Pyrénées.
It is dug by the gave of Estaubé , a left affluent of the gave of Héas which feeds water the reserve of the stopping of Gloriettes (1668 m).
Circus of Estaubé
The valley ends in the circus of Estaubé whose principal tops are:- the Red Pic of Mulched (2780 m/2779 m)
- the Grand Astazou (3071 m/3083 m),
- the peak of Tuquerouye or peak of Tuquerouge (2819 m),
- the peak of Pine forest (2860 m/2861 m),
- the peak Blanc (2828 m),
- the peak of Canau (2766 m),
- the soum of Port Bieil (2846 m),
- the peaks of Estaubé (2810 m).
- the valley of Gavarnie by the Hourquette d' Alans (2430 m)
- the valle of Marboré and el lago of Tuca Roya by the breach of Tuquerouye ( Tuca Arroja ) (2666 m)
The circus protects a small plain, the plã of Ailhet , enclosed between:
- in the east: the mountain of the Chourrugue with the Mounherran (2783 m)
- in the west the pouey Arrabi between the Piméné (2801 m) and the peak Rouge of Mulched (2780 m).
Access
One reaches the valley since the road of Héas, on the level of the barns of Gargantan . One circumvents the lake of Gloriettes by the line (left bank). It is a pleasant excursion, a little long (3h a.R.) but of weak uneven until the center of the circus.
The rise of the breach of Tuquerouye is difficult (cramps necessary): 7:00 a.R.
