Estaimpuis

Estaimpuis (in Dutch Steenput , in Walloon Timpu ) is a common French-speaking of Belgium located in Walloon region in the Province of Hainaut.

Estaimpuis is a commune in rural matter. The major part of the territory is occupied by arable lands.

Geography

The commune is composed of seven villages since the fusion of January 1st, 1977: Estaimpuis , Estaimbourg, Néchin, Leers-North, Bailleul, Saint-Leger and Évregnies.

Two important factories are present on the territory of the commune:
  • soap factory Mc Attaches (e.g. Yplon, ex-European Detergents, ex-Tensia) specialized in the liquid soaps, beauty products and maintenance product;
