Essertenne

Essertenne is a common French, located in the department of Saône-et-Loire and the area Burgundy.

History

  • the name Essertenne probably comes from the term essert used formerly to indicate the zones which had been voluntarily cleared by the Feu. It bore the name of Essertaine .

Geography

  • It is a small green and undulating commune (Mairie: Lat: 46°48' 46" NR, Length: 4°32' 43" E) with about fifteen kilometers in the east of the town of Creusot and to 15 kilometers in the south-west of the commune of Saint-Leger-on-Dheune, at its southern border, it borders the channel of the center and the river of the Dheune.

  • It also borders the pond of Montaubry reserve of food for the channel of the center.
