Espinasse Charles-Marie-spirit

Charles-Marie-spirit Espinasse , is a French general, born with Saissac (Aude) in 1815 and died in Magenta (Italy) in 1859.

Biography

After having made first half of its career in Africa, then, like Lieutenant-colonel, the Forwarding of Rome, it came to be named Colonel of the 42e of line when took place the Coup d'etat of December 2nd, 1851. It was him which invades of night the National Assembly and seized the Questeurs.

Successively and Brigadier general Major general, it became after the Attentat of Orsini, Minister of Interior Department (February 7th -14 June 1858) and made vote famous the Loi of general security.
