January: Whereas Théodose Ier withdrew the legions of the Eastern provinces to fight against the usurper Eugene (394), and that it brought the Visigoths established to the South of the the Danube to defend the Mésie, the Huns benefit from the weakness of the border in the east and on the the lower Danube.
