The term espérantide was proposed by Monnerot-Dumaine to indicate any project derived from the Esperanto (in Esperanto, the word ido means " child de"). These projects are very numerous, as shows it the multiples evolutions of Esperanto, one of the latest to date is the Mondlango.

These projects are often the fact of Espérantiste S themselves which wish to adapt the language, or at least to open the reflection on certain aspects of the language. Many esperantists think however that it is much more important to diffuse the language more than to modify it, and recall that the Ido (the espérantide more known, created in 1908) led to a schism in the movement esperantist and has it a weakened time.
