Eslamshahr
Eslamshahr اسلامشهر is a city Iran ienne of the Province of Teheran, located on the road of Teheran at Saveh. The city is integrated today into the metropolis of Teheran, in the south of this one. The old village of Ghasem-abad-e Shahi developed at the end of the years 1970 with the construction of shantytowns and insecure housings on arable lands drained after the construction of the Barrage of Karaj. At the time of the Iranian Revolution of 1979, this urban area takes the name of Eslamshahr ( the city of Islam ) and is officially recognized. It becomes chief town of department in 1996 and thus profits from the equipment of medium-sized city. The population is especially worker and works in the industrial park of Karaj. In 2006 the city has 360.000 inhabitants. It is the symbol of the new suburbs of Teheran. Eslamshahr would be the 21e Bidonville world by the size.
