The Esgueva is a Spanish river . The river Esgueva is born in Peña Cervera (Sierra of the Request), close to the Monastery of Santo Domingo of Silos, in the province of Burgos. At the time medieval E, its names were Agoseba and Axeba. In its course, it crosses municipal terms of three provinces: Burgos, Palencia and Valladolid. It is thrown in the Pisuerga, him even affluent of the Douro.
Three burgaleses communes sprinkled by the river Esgueva belong to AOC Ribera del Duero: Terradillos de Esgueva, Villatuelda and Tórtoles de Esgueva. The Valley of Esgueva has a way, the GR-27 , which supposes to traverse 78 km since Valladolid until Encinas de Esgueva. Information on the way here.
