Esdras Minville
Esdras Minville (November 7th, 1896 in Quebec with Large-Valley - December 9th, 1975 in Quebec) was a writer, a economist and a Sociologue Québécois. Senior of the Faculty of social sciences of the University of Montreal, he was first Canadian-French to take the head of HEC Montreal. Defender of the social Doctrines of the Church, it helped to found several co-operatives in the province. Collaborator with the Commission Rowell-Sirois, it chaired the Chamber of commerce of Montreal in 1947. Its nationalist ideas approached Victor Barbeau, François-Albert Angers and Lionel Groulx.
